Practice Information

Crown Street Surgery is a purpose built surgery. Our practice area covers Swinton, Kilnhurst, Wath-upon-Dearne, Mexborough. We are only able to accept patients who live in these areas.

There are no parking facilities for patients at the surgery unless they are disabled. Patients are requested to use the free public car parks on Queen Street and Church Street. Please do not park on Crown Street. This ensures that our neighbours can park outside their own homes.

Disabled Access

We have two parking spaces at the front of the building that are marked for the disabled. The surgery is on one level and there are toilet facilities for the disabled.

Call Recording

Please note all calls to and from the surgery are recorded and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and the Data Protection Act 2018, calls are recorded for monitoring, training and dispute resolution purposes.

The purpose of call recording is to provide an exact record of the call which will:

Protect the interests of both parties

Help improve practice performance and best practice

Help protect practice staff from abusive and nuisance calls

Establish the facts in the event of a complaint either by a patient or a member   of staff so this can assist in resolving it.

Establish the facts and assist in medico-legal claims made against the practice   or clinicians.

A call recording may also be used as evidence in the event that the employee's   telephone conduct is deemed unacceptable.  In this situation the receording will be made available to the employee's manager, to be investigated as per the practice Disciplinary Policy.

For further information please contact the surgery.

Named Accountable GP

As of 1 April 2015 all patients have a named GP who is responsible for their overall care at the practice. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP of your choice in the practice as you currently do now, if available. For details of your named GP please contact the surgery.

GP Net Earning

All GP practices are required to declare the mean (eg average pay) for GP’s to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Crown Street Surgery in 2021/22 was £58,872 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GP, 2 part time GP and 6 locum GP's who worked in the practice for more than six months.
